Who are we?
R.J. Hidson has run this photography outfit since 1999 and, although he has’t been running the ‘biz’ for very long photography has always been a passion of hids. Most of the time he gets caught up with weddings, portraits, or other art projects, graphic design and now web design. He has worn many hats when it comes to this business and will continue to do things that help help grow and learn as a photographer. His area of specialty is people and the environment. R.J. enjoys the opportunity to tell a story of people and their experience as the variety and complexity that people provide never ceases to amaze him. This is why he covers a lot of weddings, bands, performers, children, protesters and politicians. Anything and anyone who has something to say will find themselves in front of his lens, if they haven’t already.
Philosophy:
We are searching for models that share ideas and are willing to work hard to convey an image that posses meaning and emotion for the viewer. The photos we hope to produce should cover the gamut, every part of the human condition can be seen through a still image; everything from humor to sorrow. Nude photographs can do much for a models career, however; they may not necessarily show the viewer anything to think about. We know plenty of men and women who can do “sexy” though, what we look for has to go beyond what is purely superficial. R.J. takes photos that ask questions about people and how they live; the physical part of the photograph comes from the model and needs no explanations.
Info and rates:
Aside from all of the philosophy R.J. goal is to take a great photo that will be enjoyed by many people. Also, he'd like to be known as one of “the nicest guys” in the business.
TFP:
requires a $100 cash deposit, show up and you get your deposit back. After I will proof your photos online and you can pick your four favorites which I will touch up and print one 8x10 of each. Additional prints are extra, but not expensive.
Commercial/Portfolio Shoots:$300 for the first four hours (shooting and editing) plus $90 for your online proof setup; $40/hr for every additional hour after the first four. Prints are additional.
